“翻译是沟通的桥梁，我们的工作就是帮助人们沟通，”英语译员王经文说，“并不是你说什么词我就翻什么词，因为讲者的话有时候很混乱，有时候想藏一些或者有别的意有所指。而我们就需要根据具体情况，把混乱的话重新整理，没有说完的话补充完整，以确保意思传达的准确性、完整性和流畅性。”
“我觉得同传是很适合学霸的工作。”杨婧说，“因为每场会议的主题和内容不同，而每次开会前准备的时间也很有限，所以需要你在短时间内迅速掌握某个陌生领域的基本知识，对学习能力的要求非常高。”而毕业于全球三大高级翻译学院之一的英国巴斯大学的杨婧，显然是一名学霸。她在本科时就听说了巴斯大学的名号，对翻译一行自然而然地产生了向往。通过努力，她如愿以偿地进入了这所学校，并在毕业后成为了一名职业的英语译员。由于她本科毕业于一所医药院校，她最擅长的也是医药类的翻译。

“我非常喜欢同传译员的生活方式，”王经文说，“它意味着每天我都能接触到全新的知识，得到新鲜的刺激。”为了不断挑战自我，各个领域的翻译工作王经文都会积极应对，但作为一个游戏爱好者，他最大的梦想还是为自己喜爱的游戏公司翻译。而经由他的努力，这一梦想已经实现了。他多次为暴雪、索尼等大型游戏公司的发布会翻译，包括为一年一度的暴雪嘉年华直播做同传，前不久的ChinaJoy上也有他忙碌的身影。他还向记者展示了《风暴英雄》制作人送他的游戏人物贴纸，以及他和《魔兽世界》设计师等游戏界大咖的合影。
杨婧与王经文都曾在公司内部做过口译，但他们的企业内从业经历都不如王琼丰富。服装设计专业出身的王琼在毕业后进了一家日企，在公司的安排下前往日本接受了培训。回国后她希望在语言水平上更进一步，于是辞职专攻日语，也从此踏上了日语翻译的路。一开始她主要做的都是服装制造和贸易公司的翻译，而后跳槽到丰田旗下的厂家，开始接触理工领域的翻译，时常出差到各地的工厂做技术指导与培训，或协助管理层的审查工作。积攒了六年的企业工作经验后，她选择进入自由市场继续磨练自我，如今已有大约七年之久。
日本人说话的委婉暧昧对王琼来说颇具挑战性，“我们中国人相对比较率性，有话直说，但日本人很怕直接表达否定会伤到他人的面子。甚至日语里很多词可以同时表达相反的意思，例如同一个词可以表示‘好的，可以’，也可以表示‘好了，不要了’。这就需要按照上下文的意思来推断讲者真正想要传递的态度，也需要与讲者加强沟通。”王琼自豪地表示，她的翻译质量是非常高的，每次工作后都能得到与会双方的良好反响。因而她非常热爱自己的工作，尽管辛苦，但也乐意坚持在这条路上走下去。
